Harris County Mental Health Initiative
With increasing pressure to succeed and higher academic standards than ever, there is a growing amount of people, especially students, struggling with their mental health. To combat this, our chapter in Harris County is trying to raise awareness and remove the stigma around mental health and the treatment thereof. We're also assisting select cases with expedited and discounted mental health treatment.
Brevard County Chapter
Our original chapter shares its focus between 3 primary issues
Veteran Support- Honoring the immeasurable sacrifices they've made to protect us and our liberties by providing support and recognition, while trying to facilitate a healthy realtionship between veterans and the surrounding communities
Hunger- Providing food to the hungry as well as attempting to address the underlying causes for hunger in the Brevard area, while assisting local food pantries and food banks
Educational inequality- Many schools, from a combination of factors, have students far behind in their education, and many students who don't have their basic needs met. By offering direct academic assistance, tutoring, and more while supporting the basic needs for students in need, were able to reduce educational inequality across Brevard
Bergen County Environmental Initiative
Bergen County is focusing on restoring balance to the ecosystem to protect both animals and humans! A lack of natural predators has lead to an overpopulation of many animals and an imbalance in the ecosystem, presenting a danger to botht he people and the animals in the area. This chapter is focused on addressing this, issues caused by this and providing ecological education!
